We have worked closely with the pharmaceutical industry since the 1940s, when our products were first used in the recovery of what was, at the time, a newly discovered medical breakthrough — penicillin. Today, we continue to play an active role in developing new media and process technologies to enhance the synthesis, recovery and purification of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and biopharmaceuticals. We are also extending our capabilities into the high performance area of chromatography, through the development of novel polymeric materials.
