This high performance pure acrylic binder allows formulators to reach new performance levels in both decorative and industrial segments.

In the decorative area, it delivers superior hiding, scrub resistance and stain resistance, plus improved substrate adhesion and superior corrosion resistance. It is designed for both high quality low VOC, low odor interior wall paints, as well as exterior applications.

It also help formulators involved in industrial maintenance coatings. This high-performance, low VOC binder technology is applicable in a variety of light to mid duty Industrial Maintenance segments particularly in primers, topcoats and direct to metal (DTM).  It offers a better option when compared to traditional materials such as alkyds, polyurethanes and epoxies – lower VOC emissions and lower odor combined with high performance and corrosion resistance.  Paints formulated with Avanse™ technology are suited for use on concrete and metal surfaces.

It helps deliver improved levels of gloss, better hiding due to improved pigment dispersibility, enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. It is also uncommonly versatile in its ability to be formulated into primer, mid coat, topcoat, or direct-to-metal paints, over a variety of bare metal and primed substrates.

It can be formulated into coatings that are VOC compliant at or below 100 grams per liter and still maintain freeze-thaw resistance.

Overall, it is an excellent candidate to replace solvent borne paints not meeting the new environmental and safety regulations that are increasingly coming into effect worldwide, without compromising performance and offering formulated cost savings potential.
