Sustainability with performance improves PVC market image

back

Advapak™ NEO helps PVC producers throughout the world enhance their product image among regulators and consumers.

The whole PVC industry, and not just the pipe sector, is actively working to ensure that PVC is a sustainable material playing its part in a sustainable society. Vinyl 2010 – the Voluntary Commitment of the PVC Industry is a 10 year programme covering all phases of the product lifecycle, from production to disposal. An important part of this commitment includes increased recycling of spent PVC. Advapak™ NEO is an advancement that is needed and welcomed by PVC processors, since it combines the best current alternatives for PVC stabilization in a convenient, cost-effective product that needs no equipment modification and works successfully with all PVC powders presently in use.

Ongoing research and development efforts by specialty materials producer Rohm and Haas are focused on the ultimate development of a bio-based solution that will totally eliminate the need for even low levels of metals to satisfactorily stabilise PVC. Combining performance with sustainability is the goal of these efforts.
