On Monday,
March 15, 2005, Bruce Beiser and Keith
Mesch accepted the "2004 Award for
Excellence in Environmental, Health,
Safety, and Security Performance" presented
by the Ohio Chemistry Technology Council
at their annual meeting in Columbus.
Ohio companies who ensure the wellbeing
of their employees, the community and
the environment are considered for
this honor. Also present for the award
gala was Robin Williams, Director of
State Government Relations for Rohm
and Haas.
The award was sponsored
by Representative Arlene Setzer. She
states in her acknowledgement, "Over
the years the management and staff
of the Cincinnati Plant of Rohm and
Haas Chemicals, LLC, have demonstrated
such key qualities as tenacity, cooperation,
and civic concern, which have undoubtedly
led to the success of the business,
and we applaud them on their tremendous
work. It is our sincere hope that this
fine establishment will continue to
be a prominent fixture in the community."
Rohm and Haas employees
Bruce Beiser, Keith Mesch and Doug
Burdick attended sessions presented
by the OCTC throughout the two-day
event. The conference ended with an
exhibitor's reception on Tuesday evening,
also attended by Rohm and Haas Community
Relations Manager, Kim Brough. State
legislators and representatives learned
more about our facility at the reception.
We extend our thanks to the employees
at the Cincinnati Facility who helped
make this award possible.
