Beginning in 2005, the Rohm and Haas Community Partnership Initiative has awarded an annual grant of $30,000 to non-profit organizations serving the community serving the city of Reading community. The site's Community Advisory Council is responsible for managing this important grant program.

The CAC polled community leaders and residents to identify the most pressing needs in the community. The response from the community was clear - enhancing local school programs, youth development (leadership, character and conflict resolution) and youth activities and recreation topped the list.

The CPI will give priority consideration to programs requiring a grant of $30,000. Grants may be used for a period of up to two years.
