Grant Available for Youth
Program
Non-Profits Invited to Apply
for $30,000 Community Partnership Initiative
BRISTOL,
PA, May 4, 2009 -– Non-profit
organizations devoted to youth programs are
invited to submit proposals for the $30,000
the Community Partnership Initiative. CPI
focuses on education and recreation programs
for youth in the communities spanning both
sides of the Delaware River: Bristol Borough,
lower sections of Bristol Township, the City
of Burlington and/or, western sections of
Burlington Township.
The Community Partnership
Initiative was launched in 1998 by Rohm and
Haas Company, now a wholly owned subsidiary
of The Dow Chemical Company. Through the
CPI program, community representatives identify
their critical local needs, request proposals,
evaluate grant applications, and ultimately
make the grant award to the winning non-profit
organization.

The deadline for applications is June 26,
2009.
A Request for Proposal Conference
is being offered on Monday, May 18 at 1 p.m.
at the Rohm and Haas Engineering Division
building on State Road, in Bristol Township.
This session will outline the Community Partnership
Initiative and help interested non-profit
organizations prepare their applications.
In the past ten years, the
total contribution made through CPI to the
communities of Bristol, Pa. and Burlington,
N.J. is $336,000. Past
recipients include: Bristol Riverside Theatre: “What
You Will Youth Program;” Neighborhood
First: “Mentoring Initiative for Neighborhood
Developing Youth;” and more.
