REACH, the new European Union chemicals regulation for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, went into effect on June 1st, 2007.

The overarching goals of REACH are to better protect human health and the environment, while further driving the competitiveness of the EU chemical industry.
