Márcio Eduardo Barone Brandão Foundation In conjunction with the Associação Caminhando Juntos (ACJ), more than 40 Rohm and Haas plant and office employee volunteers roll up their sleeves to help renovate this youth educational institution in São Paulo. Some of the 230 children served by the facility work alongside the employees during the renovation. Employees also provide ecological and recycling education, and, through a Christmas campaign, sponsor individual children by giving them gifts and organizing a holiday party.

National Fondo Unido (United Way Day) The Rohm and Haas facility in Mexico City collaborates annually with dozens of other companies to participate in National Fondo Unido, a commemoration that joins 2,500 children and senior citizens from different institutions around the country. Corporate representatives set up display booths, provide prizes and organize activities for the children. Rohm and Haas employee volunteers and their family members organized painting workshops for artistic projects, and enjoy participating in the event as much as the youngsters and seniors who attend.

Company Citizen Seal Award
In November 2003, Rohm and Haas Brasil was awarded the Company Citizen Seal by the Jacareí City Hall for the care it has shown to the community, the natural environment and its employees. Among the programs the facility conducted over the year were a blood drive at the São Paulo office, through which nearly 200 people donated blood, winter clothing drives and site visits for local school children.
