Fukushima Lagoon Clean-up
Since 1998, dozens of employees from the Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials facility in Kawasaki, Japan volunteer during a clean-up of the Fukushima Lagoon—part of the Fukushimagata Water Park in nearby Toyosaka City. Fukushima Lagoon is one of the top 100 natural areas in Japan designated for preservation during the 21st century, and is the end-point for wastewater processed at the site’s water treatment facility.
