2010 World Water Day Coloring Challenge (Grades K-5)
This contest is for students grades K-5 in Twin Cities’ area public, private and home schools. Participants will submit a colored poster reflecting his or her knowledge about the responsibility we all have to keep our water clean and use this natural resource wisely.
COLORING CHALLENGE CONTEST RULES:
Eligibility and Submission: Coloring Challenge
- To enter, print out the official DW&PS World Water Day poster and Entry Form.
- Submit the colored poster and completed Entry Form by U.S. mail as indicated on the Entry Form.
- Entries must be postmarked no later than Monday, March 15, 2010.
- Each student must print their first and last name and grade level K-5 legibly in the provided area of the poster.
- Posters should not be matted, mounted, laminated or framed.
- Posters can be done in crayon, marker, color pencils, watercolor, ink, acrylic or tempera paint.
- All entries must be the original work of the student. Incomplete entries or entries that include inappropriate content will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the contest administrator.
- Open to students in grades K-5 in Twin Cities’ area public, private and home schools. Only one entry per student.
- Students must have parent or guardian permission to participate.
Judging Process: Coloring Challenge
All eligible entries will receive a prize for submission. A panel of judges from Dow Water & Process Solutions will review all eligible entries and select one winning poster per grade level. Entries will be judged on the following criteria: coloring skill and creativity (by grade level). The overall K-5 winner will be selected by a random drawing from the combined pool of grade-level winners. The overall K-5 winner will receive the grand prize of one (1) Flip Ultra™ camcorder, capable of shooting and sharing more than 120 minutes of video, at an approximate value of $150.00. The winners will be announced on Monday, March 22. All winning entries will be displayed on the Dow Water & Process Solutions website at www.dowwaterandprocess.com and www.dowedina.com, with the potential for being used in one of the company’s local community ads in 2010.
General: Coloring Challenge
The participation prize may vary depending on availability and age of student. No substitution of prizes, refunds or exchanges will be allowed. Any costs or expenses associated with entry or applicable taxes will be the responsibility of the participant. By submitting an entry, participant agrees to be bound by these contest rules, and the decisions of the contest administrator, which shall be final and binding. Contest sponsored by DW&PS.
