Poster Contest Winner: 8th Grade
Having a Ball with Chemistry
Audrey

AUDREY
7th Grade, PA

Audrey has a ball roller skating…
…I love to roller skate, but I’m extremely slow, but I still love it.  Sometimes I bring an umbrella with me in case I fall, which I never did, but I’m still wary.  Roller skating is super exciting, especially when you can crabwalk!

Dr. MarioDr. Mario hasn’t roller skated in a while,
but loved it as a kid.
“Modern roller blade skates are prepared from glass reinforced thermoplastic resins (durethan polyamide), replacing polyurethane compounds, which were used
in the original designs.  This improvement reduced the weight of the skates by 50% with no decrease in strength or performance.  So you’re not going as slow as
you think!”
