Dr. Eileen BonnerA Message from Dr. Eileen Bonner

Welcome to the Rohm and Haas Spring House Study Website.

The issue of brain cancer is a serious one. As a physician, an employee at the Spring House site, and the company’s Delaware Valley regional health director, I speak for all Rohm and Haas employees when I say that our sympathies go to the families and colleagues of those employees diagnosed with brain cancer or any serious illness. This study is part of our commitment to employee health and safety to understand and address potential workplace safety and health issues.  The Website is set up to communicate the progress and background of the Spring House study.

Now a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company, Rohm and Haas continues to employ rigorous safeguards, practices, and monitoring procedures to protect the health and safety of employees.  These practices, including hazard assessment, accident/exposure record-keeping, hazard correction training and other identification, monitoring and industrial hygiene programs, are now being supplemented by and integrated into Dow’s health management systems and processes.

I hope this information is helpful to you.  If you have additional questions, please contact us at Rohm and Haas, at the links noted throughout this site.

Eileen Bonner, M.D., M.P.H.
Regional Health Director
