| Nitrate
is a contaminant found in ground water in
countries all over the world. Its presence in excessive
amounts is primarily the result of agricultural
activities including fertilization of crops and
live stock management. Nitrate finds its way into
ground water from these sources and is not broken
down in the soil and aquifers before the water is
extracted for use. |
