IMAC™ HP336, a weak acid cation exchange resin with a slightly macroporous structure has been developed specifically for the treatment of drinking water.

IMAC HP336 removes only bicarbonate hardness and heavy metals from water--- and it does so selectively and efficiently.

A typical plant can treat 70m³/hour (300 gpm) easily with approximately 3000 liters (100 cubic feet) of resin.

Regeneration is similarly efficient, and can be accomplished using a mineral acid such as hydrochloric or sulfuric acid. No excess is required.
