We are pleased to present our 2007 Sustainability Report.

Rohm and Haas has a long history of dedication to environmental and social responsibility― meeting, exceeding or even pioneering industry and societal standards; and last year was no exception.

While this traditional approach has contributed positively to the success of the Company and society over the years, we entered into an exciting new phase of our sustainability journey in 2008.

This report reflects an abbreviated look at our sustainability priorities and progress in 2007. As we note in other areas of this report, 2008 marked a milestone in our sustainable journey with a comprehensive, strategic effort, in partnership with The Natural Step International, to establish a compelling Vision and Six Commitments that will drive our sustainability profile for years to come. Our future sustainability reports will embody these recently adopted Commitments; in the meantime, this 2007 report provides insight into our ongoing progress on many sustainability measures, and updates key performance metrics we have tracked for a number of years.
